News and Events in the Christenson Family Last Updated 6th July 2010 Brisbane, Queensland Australia

MAIN HEADLINE
6th July 2010
The last few months have been extremely busy. The renovations are moving along and the Merton Manor is expanding fast. The new kitchen arrived today and will be installed in the next couple of days. All of the new appliances are in Henry’s room along with lots of other stuff and there is just enough room for his cot. He doesn’t complain though. Downstairs at Nana and Papa’s new pad, all the walls, doors and windows are almost finished. We don’t know the date of completion exactly but it doesn’t seem too far away.

Birthday Girl
Zoe celebrated her 4th birthday without a party or much fanfare. Instead she enjoyed the day with her mum and sister at the museum. We enjoyed hanging out with Dorothy’s cousins (the dinosaurs) and the girls loved the under the sea exhibit. They enjoyed looking at the skeletons of the crocodiles the most and Zoe almost put her head inside one! Her new favorite thing is her Tag reader – a talking pen that she can play games with and it reads books to her :) She even lets Lily sit with her and they are quiet for at least ten minutes at a time. Then Lily gets bored and makes Zoe yell.
Walking in no time...
Henry is an amazing little guy. He is on the go all the time unless he is eating. He does sleep quite well but is an early riser. This is ok for now as the girls generally sleep though his yelling. He is standing up whenever he can and will climb the leg of anyone who stands still long enough. We have to warn Lily to move or her brother will climb her like a goanna up a tree. She runs. Henry is still not her favorite person though we are hoping this will change next year when Zoe is off to prep. For Henry, Lily is wonderful. Even when she is screaming at him - he giggles. Or perhaps he just knows already how to push her buttons.
Lily's hearing is better and seems to have kicked the glue ear. She has another check up next month and we are hoping she doesn't have to have grommets. With the improvement in her hearing, her behavior is a little better too.
Lec is off to Perth next month for another baby expo. The Brisbane expo in June was one of the biggest yet and more than a little fun:) Her new job is keeping her very busy at night and on weekends and she is actually using her arts degree! Heath is in the midst of a very hectic stage with his business, working all day, most nights and at weekends. We do get lots of quality time with him though and he is not far away when Lec needs some help.
Nana and Papa are still working hard at the garden centre with their antique shop. Papa also escapes the house two days a week to drive a bus.
Life at the Christenson house is happy amid the chaos:)

Just a few photos from May and June:)
